The MPV Summer Challenge and Multisport Festival was a huge success!

Saturday 24 and Sunday 25th January

An event to remember with amazing development opportunities, incredible venues and tireless support from our community.  👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Athletes of all ages and abilities trained and competed across our 2 day Summer Challenge event, testing their skills and growing their ability in the 5 Modern Pentathlon disciplines - including come and try Para fencing and Para laser run for the first time! 🔫🤺🧑🏽‍🦽 It was fast, fun and full of first times! 💥

MPV created the Summer Challenge with development in mind - a perfect beginning to the 2026 season; giving athletes the opportunity to focus attention on new skills in preparation for the year ahead. 

This year we welcome many brand new athletes to our Modern Pentathlon community, having a go at disciplines for the very first time, right along side our existing members! This included our first Para athlete who picked up a laser to show how it’s done. 🔫🎯

The event would not have been possible without the support and dedication of everyone who got involved, making this a memorable event for our athletes, friends and families. 

Thanks goes to Fighting Lyon’s and the State Fencing Centre who allowed us to use their amazing venues, always making us feel welcome by sharing their expertise and equipment. 🙂👌 

With a special thanks going to the North Melbourne Recreation Centre for allowing us to use their facilities over the weekend. Their hospitality was exceptional! 👏👏👏
