Saturday October 10 was the day of our MPV 2026 Modern Pentathlon Championships and it sure was a day to remember! 💪🔥🤩
From the moment athletes stepped onto the piste at 8 to the last obstacle buzzer at 5, the energy was high and the excitement evident!
Through many development sessions our athletes have been working towards the MPV Modern Pentathlon Championships all year - and their results reflect their hard work!
At the end of it all, 11 athletes walked away with a MPV State Championships Title; yet every athlete walked away with progress - and that’s what it’s all about! 💪🔥 We congratulate you all! 👏👏
We would like to give a shout out to our amazing organisers, directors, officials, judges, volunteers and venues - Kardinia International College, including the Goodfellows Aquatic Centre and Geelong Ninjas! Without you our day would not have been as amazing as it was. Thank you! 🥰
Please give a round of applause as we introduce your 2026 MPV Modern Pentathlon Champions!

🏆 Every year at our MPV Modern Pentathlon Championships we take a moment to remember Ernie Fontaine; the man who worked tirelessly at the grass roots level in Victoria to spark the growth of Modern Pentathlon in Australia and Oceania region.
In recognition of his contributions to the sport, the Ernie Fontaine Memorial Award is presented annually at the Modern Pentathlon Victorian State Championships to the senior male and female Victorian pentathlete with the highest point score.
This year, as the highest scoring senior male (we did not have a senior female this year), we are proud to honour Ernie by awarding Oliver Clapham with his award. Congratulations Oli! Ernie would be proud. 👏🏆👏
We hope to see you at our next event, a training and development day on November 1st!
